What Information We Collect

You generally control what information you share with us. We collect data in the following ways:

Cookies We Use

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that helps websites recognize you. By accepting our cookies, you allow us and our partners to store and access these on your device.

  • Strictly Necessary — Required for the site to function properly
  • Performance — Track how pages are used to help us improve the site
  • Functional — Remember your preferences like language and login details

  • Persistent — Stored longer term to remember your preferences across visits

We also use cookies for site analytics, remarketing, affiliate marketing, social sharing, and enabling comments.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may limit your access to some site features.

Web Beacons

We use web beacons — tiny invisible images — to track email open rates and understand how users interact with our site and promotional content.

Google and Facebook Advertising

Google: We use Google’s ad and analytics services, including remarketing. Google may serve you ads based on your previous visits to our site using cookies like the DoubleClick cookie. To opt out, visit aboutads.info/choices (EU users: youronlinechoices.eu).

Google Analytics: We use this to understand traffic patterns, demographics, and user behavior. It doesn’t collect your name — only anonymized data. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Remarketing: You may see our ads on other websites after visiting ours. Opt out at Google Ads Settings.

Facebook: We use Facebook’s Custom Audience Pixel and lookalike audience tools to show our ads to people with similar interests to our existing visitors. To opt out, visit facebook.com/help/568137493302217.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver products and services you’ve requested
  • Personalize your experience on our site
  • Improve and maintain the website
  • Send you relevant updates and communications
  • Resolve issues or disputes
  • Send marketing messages we think may interest you (you can opt out at any time)

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for marketing. However:

  • We may share aggregated, non-personal data with third parties
  • We share personal data with service providers we use to run our business (e.g., payment processors, analytics companies, email platforms, law firms)
  • We may share your data with Facebook and Google for lookalike/similar audience marketing — by using our site, you consent to this
  • We may disclose your data if legally required (e.g., by subpoena, law enforcement, or court order)
  • If our business is sold or merges with another, your data may transfer to the new owner

Community Discussion Boards

If our site includes community features, be careful about sharing personal information in public posts. We don’t monitor these boards, and anything you post publicly may be viewable worldwide. Our privacy notice doesn’t protect information you voluntarily make public.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We hold your data only as long as necessary for legal, business, or tax purposes. Once it’s no longer needed, we securely delete or destroy it.

Updating or Deleting Your Data

You can update your data through your account on our site or by contacting us directly. We may retain some information if required to enforce agreements or meet legal obligations.

Revoking Consent

You can withdraw your consent for us to use your data at any time by emailing info@planet-wildlife.com. Note that withdrawing consent won’t affect disclosures already made or those required by law.

Third-Party Privacy

If your posts mention other people, make sure you have their permission to share that information. We’ll remove posts that violate someone else’s privacy rights if notified.

Do Not Track

Our site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. You can adjust tracking settings manually in your browser’s settings.

External Links

Our site may link to third-party websites we don’t control. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for how they handle your data. Use them at your own risk.

Children’s Privacy

Our site is not intended for users under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child is using our site, contact us and we’ll delete their information promptly.

Email Communications

You can opt out of our emails at any time. We won’t sell, rent, or share your email address with unaffiliated third parties — except in the event of a business sale or bankruptcy.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption for payment information. That said, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute protection. Please keep your password private and log out after each session.

Credit Card Payments

Payments are handled by third-party billing providers using standard encryption. We don’t store your card details directly and are not responsible for any misuse by third-party processors.

EU Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. The EU hasn’t deemed the US as providing adequate data protection under GDPR Article 45, but we rely on Article 49 derogations with your consent. By using our site, you agree to these transfers.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this privacy notice at any time. Changes will be posted on our site. If we make significant changes to how we use your data, we’ll notify you by email in advance. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
